A Fatal Disease

Psalm 89:48 (NKJV)

What man can live and not see death? Can he deliver his life from the power of the grave? Selah

We all have a terminal illness. Death is common to all men. I don't know when it will happen but it could be today. When the Sunday School teacher asked who all wanted to go to heaven, a little boy did not raise his hand. When asked why, he said that he thought they were getting up a group to go right now. I agree with him; death is not something we look forward to easily. The Bible calls death an enemy which will one day be defeated and "swallowed up in victory." However, as much as we are clinging to this world, we can know for certain where we will spend eternity. Do you know where you will spend eternity?

John 5:24 (NKJV)

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.

Hebrews 9:27 (NKJV)

And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,
