Comfortable with Christianity?

Posted by: David Carroll

Matthew 8:19-20 (NKJV)

Then a certain scribe came and said to Him, "Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go." And Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head."

Jesus never promised us that as His followers we would benefit materially. We love the comfort of our homes and our things. However, when I say I am a follower of Jesus wherever He leads, I must realize that Jesus never owned a home. His comfort was to do the will of the Father.

John 15:11 (NKJV)

These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.
