Then He said to them all, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me." "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it."
But as many as received Him, to them he gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness in man who has suppressed the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse
